Air Guitar Takes Open

There was plenty of action this afternoon with 2 Open Pace Events and the final of the EWEY Series going for $9,500.

In the first Open event of the day Beebeetee fanned off live cover at the top of the stretch to get up for the win in an extremely tight photo with 3 horses on the wire in 1:58.3- $14.30.  Bruce Aldrich drove the winner for trainer Danny Gill, for Beebeetee it was his fourth season win.

In the other Open Pace, Air Guitar benefitted from a pocket sitting trip behind Feelin Western (M. Merton) to scoot up the passing lane to get the win in 1:56.2 – $10.80 the fastest mile of the day. The Mark Ford trained son of Art Major likes Monticello, all 3 of his 2024 wins have come at the Mighty M.

The EWEY Final saw the favorite Caviart Rockland from the 8 hole, go 3 deep at the half to get the lead and never looked back for driver Yogi Sheridan, the winner is trained by Peter Pellegrino. Sectiononline Racer (J. Stillwell) finished second.

Bruce Aldrich Jr. had a driving triple and Greg Merton had a driving double.
